When Edwin Vinke approached us, he wanted something specific. a chef coat that fits comfortably, looks great, and provides enough freedom of movement during a long service. Three days later in our factory, we had the design.

Edwin Vinke is renowned for his culinary masterpieces at De Kromme Watergang in Hoofdplaat. A two-Michelin-starred kitchen, built for the fishing life of the Zeeland delta. Edwin has been at his stove for over 30 years and knows exactly what a chef coat must deliver.
When he approached us for his own collection, he wanted more than a name on a label. Edwin wanted to sit down with us and share his vision for the perfect chef coat. Comfortable to wear, stylish to look at, enough freedom of movement in the back and arms.

Day 1
The Vision
Edwin laid out his requirements. The coat had to fit comfortably, look great, and provide enough freedom of movement, especially in the back and arms, where a chef moves most during long services.

Day 2
Brainstorm at the Factory
Edwin traveled to our factory in North Macedonia. Our designer Robert had prepared multiple prototypes for fittings and feedback. Deep conversations about the ideal cut, panel placement, and fabrics.

Day 3
Material Breakthrough
The team discovered that stretch pique fabric is essential for freedom of movement, especially on the back and sleeves. Within a day, we developed multiple new prototypes. The Nassau was born.
